A trip to Morong, Bataan isn’t complete without dropping by Loleng’s Hu Tieu-an. It’s famous for its Vietnamese food.
According to a story we heard, some locals (which apparently include the owner / family of Loleng’s) learned how to prepare Vietnamese food from the Vietnamese refugees who came to Bataan a few decades ago.
How do Loleng’s dishes compare with what I had in Hanoi? Of course Hanoi’s are far more superior, but I’ll cut Loleng’s some slack. I’d say “comparable with a few oops,” especially with their banh mi. Still, it’s better than Pho Hoa.
